Healthy Champaign County hosted 3rd Annual Feeding Champaign County Food Summit on February 26th at the I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center in Champaign, IL.
Our 2025 Feeding Champaign County Food Summit will brought community leaders into conversation to continue the essential work of seeing that the residents of Champaign County have affordable access to the nutritious foods essential to a healthy, active life.
The 2025 Food Summit program included a keynote address by Dr. Bobby J. Smith II, Associate Professor in the Department of African American Studies at the University of Illinois.
Food Summit workshops addressed specific action agenda items for future program development in Champaign County.
The 2025 Feeding Champaign County Food Summit is sponsored by Healthy Champaign County and its partners: University of Illinois, City of Champaign, City of Urbana, OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center, Champaign-Urbana Public Health District, Sola Gratia Farms, University of Illinois Extension, Common Ground Food Co-op, The Land Connection, and the United Way of Champaign County.
is a BIPOC outdoor wellness program, organized and directed by Tomas Delgado and facilitated by Healthy Champaign County, that invites Champaign-Urbana’s BIPOC community members to spend some time on easy hikes, meeting new people and learning about the environment.
